Meridian Palms - FAQ's
...................................................................................
1) What is a condo hotel?
A condo hotel is operated and maintained just as a
normal hotel would be. This includes short-term
occupancy, food service, telephone service, daily house
keeping, and a front desk staff. The difference is that
units in a condo hotel are individually owned.
Furthermore, the owner of the units is free to use them
whenever they would like. When they are not using them,
they can be rented out to raise revenue.
2) Can I rent out the unit that I own?
Of course! The Meridian Palms Orlando has a rental
company on-site that can help you coordinate the rental
process of your unit. It’s easy, convenient, and a great
way to defer the cost of ownership.
3) What are my responsibilities as an owner?
After you’ve purchased your unit, your responsibilities
are minimal. Simply pay your dues, enjoy the property
when you’re on vacation, and the rental/management
company will take care of everything else. It is
designed to be entirely headache free and we work hard
to keep it that way.
4) What makes a condo hotel successful?
Several factors aid in the success of a condo hotel.
Like most businesses, location is the most important
aspect. Our location in the popular and well traveled
Orlando area could not be better. A good condo hotel
also needs a respected developer with experience in the
field. Unit amenities and hotel management also play a
significant role.
5) What are the benefits of a condo hotel?
There are lots of them! Condo hotels serve three main
purposes. The first is to provide you with a vacation
destination anytime through the year. Second, they are
fantastic real estate investments that appreciate
overtime and that you can pass down. Third, with the
help of our rental company, they can often make you
money by renting out the unit when you are not using it!
6) What is the difference between a condo hotel and a
timeshare property?
Condo hotels and timeshares are not the same thing! When
participating in a timeshare you are a very small owner
with only a right to use. With condo hotels, you are the
full owner and receive an actual deed to the property.
7) How did I get started on owning a unit in a condo
hotel?
The easiest way to begin this process is by requesting a
brochure that will provide you with detailed information
and answer many of your questions. From here you can
contact us to fill out a reservation agreement, then a
contract, and finish with your closing. As with all
aspects of the condo hotel, we work to make this process
as simple and convenient as possible.
8) Why do I want to buy in Orlando, Florida?
The Orlando Florida real estate market is steadily
growing. This growth will contribute to the equity of
your unity. In addition, Orlando Florida is a great
vacation destination. Surrounded by Disney, Universal,
Sea World, Kennedy Space Center, and beaches, Orlando is
a prime location to own a part of.
